Halloween at the school was celebrated by holding a two-night party with students from Shane and Shulin primary school. On the first night I was in charge of arts and crafts where I helped the kids make bats and pumpkins using loo rolls and card and the second night I was put in to help co-ordinate a game where the kids had to get through a series of ropes to the other side of the classroom and back in a relay race without setting off any of the attached bells. Meanwhile, Jack’s game was “Shoot the Spook” where kids had to shoot a Nerf gun at zombies.
The kids all seemed to have fun and the school made money and it was a massive PR piece for the local primary school so we’ve had some new students sign up in the last week or so as well. It was pretty exhausting though since it was held at the busiest point of the week (Fri/Sat night)
We’ve just been told that we’re going to be holding a Christmas party too but not at the school but at a large ball room and we’ll be perfuming some sort of Panto to an audience of roughly 500! They’re considering Red Riding Hood and Jack wants to be the wolf. I’ve said I’ll be a tree, lol.
