Wet Market

I’ve not updated for a while as we’ve just finished moving apartments and work has been extra busy because of Halloween and new teachers failing to arrive so everyone’s schedule is very busy at the moment covering extra classes. But now we’re all sorted and we even got our full deposit back from the old place without any trouble so things are much more settled.

To sum it up, our new place is much nicer, cheaper, bigger, closer to school, in a better area and best of all it doesn’t leak gas!

The move went fairly smoothly although Mr Kwai wasn’t very happy at being forced into his carry case but he seems a lot more settled in now and has even been a nice cat and stopped yowling as much as he used to (maybe he was afraid of heights before?)

Best of all, just a 2 minute walk down the road we discovered a large market that sells everything from fruit and veg to beds to meat to clothes to electronics and pets! It’s incredibly Chinese and so it’s a good test for our new lessons as we practice our numbers but it’s also very cheap and convenient. Below are some photos of the wet market where most of the meat and veg is sold, but there are about seven streets of outdoor markets as well.
